BACTIGRAS is an antiseptic paraffin impregnated gauze dressing which soothes and protects the wound while helping to reduce wound infection and inflammation.   Impregnated with Chlorhexidine.

Description

  • Soft paraffin base
  • Soothing and low-adherent
  • Sterile open-weave gauze presentation
  • Contains chlorhexidine which is an active agent against a wide range of bacteria
  • Reduces risk of infection
  • Wide range of sizes

Indications:

  • Wounds at risk of infection that cover no more than 10% of body area.
  • Infected wounds in conjunction with systemic antibiotics.
  • Minor burns and scalds, lacerations, abrasions and other skin loss wounds.

 

Contraindications:

  • Should not be used on more than 10% of body area
  • Should not be used in known cases of sensitivity or allergy to chlorhexidine
  • Do not use with oxidising wound cleaning agents, soap, other anionic materials, or potassium iodide
